I’m not sure why they decided to slow down motor vehicles to such a ridiculous speed on a main road where there are not a lot of pedestrians, unless it is to generate income from the speeding tickets in this zone. It is one of the reasons why I would never want to live in this town called Taber, Alberta.

It may be an income generating method but it really leaves a sour taste to be treated like infants. It’s not 60 km an hour, it’s not 70 km per hour like it should be. It is 50 km per hour. And there are photo radar signs – just the bare minimum to let you know to keep your speed down and one or two speed posting signs – and they are not easy to spot. I don’t know when they came up with this in city council, but they need to re-think it, if nothing more than to boost public relations.
